I have tested the Row Validated event once again and it is thrown as expected when Rad Grid View loses focus.
I used Q3 2010 SP1 (2010.3.10.1215) version for my tests.
Forms; namespace daniweb line , when it comes here it does not sense cell_validating event and skips to the end.
Check to determine if the object is Null before calling method" error I think, when grid was populated these columns are null, nothing comes from database, so Cell Value Changed is wired at the time of datagridview populating.
Thanks a lot You have been great help snakay ahaa, still have a curious problem.
It was my mistake from the very beginning, that I mixed up the column names, with wrong column names it would not pass the logical test, therefore nothing to do with event handling.
However, I would still like to investigate the issue further.
To do that, I need a sample project, which demonstrates the issue.
Hi Ruth Goldberg, Thank you for the additional details.I need to perform a task whenever the user ordinarily ends edit mode (no matter if the user actually modified the value or not; but not when the user cancels edit mode by pressing ESC) in a Text Box column of a is only set when the user actually changes the value. But I also need to perform the task when the user ordinarily ends edit mode without having changed anything.I want to refactor this code that is currently in a partial Form Class and deals with edits made on certain cells in a datagridview (in this case called dgv Replenish).I would like to refactor so that I can create unit tests to be able to test the logic that effects changing the back color of cells, and updating other cells.
